This Month
This month, I’m so happy to announce a long time dream of mine coming to fruition - having a close friend and stellar guy join my real estate team. Over the years we’ve known each other, Austin Hunt & I have talked countless times about how amazing it would be to work together. Knowing we’ve both shared this vision and dream since childhood, it's incredible to now say this DREAM IS A REALITY!!!
As part of our weekend routine, Sarah Jean & I write in a devotion journal and share prayer time together almost every Sunday evening. In the book, we write dreams we have for the future (Please get this marriage book! It’s called The Marriage Journal and was created by the Roloffs). In this book, I'd been asking the universe to send me the right person to join me in helping families in real estate. Someone I connect really well with that I can trust and will do everything they can to care for and serve our clients, has the same values and morals, is intelligent, hard working, and has a great personality.
Little did I know that the person the universe would send me would end up being my best friend!!! I am so thrilled and filled with JOY to have him on board to help us build the business and serve even more wonderful people each year! We look forward to helping you or someone you know with their homeownership dreams in 2020 and beyond!
A Word From Austin
I'm extremely excited to partner up with Logan Gerritz Realty to help as many families as possible! Since Logan and his family moved into my old neighborhood in 6th grade, we've always dreamed of working together in real estate. After going to Sunset High School and Oregon State University together, Logan jumped right into real estate while I took a different route. I headed into the corporate world, working for Genesis Financial Solutions for 3 years and then on to Nike for 3.5 years. I worked in technology procurement, helping negotiate vendor contracts and partnering up with Nike technology stakeholders to ensure they had what they needed to power the technology beast behind every large company.
While I enjoyed my time at Nike, I was never truly passionate about my work. To me, it wasn’t the meaningful career I had envisioned for myself and I knew I needed to make a change. When I found out Logan was looking to add a member to his team, I knew the stars had aligned and jumped at the opportunity to get into real estate with my best friend. I’m beyond elated to start this journey and put in the time and effort to serve clients in a purposeful way and to build this career for the rest of my life.
I grew up in the Portland/Beaverton area my entire life, and now call Oregon City my home. I married my incredible wife Malea in August 2017 and we bought our first home in Oregon City in March 2018, which just so happens to be in the same neighborhood as Logan and Sarah Gerritz! It’s been a dream to live next to our best friends once again!
In my free time, I love to play and watch all kinds of sports: basketball, golf, soccer, football, and many others. I also love to go camping, fishing, wine tasting, and exploring the beautiful state we live in. As long as I’m spending quality time with my friends and family, I’m a happy camper!
