Understanding Portland's Shifting Market
As many of you may have heard, interest rates in the Portland area recently hit a 7-year high, inventory has increased and home sales prices are beginning to drop. So...what does this shifting market mean for our real estate economy? In all actuality, the activity we’ve seen in the last few years with 20+ offers in the first week and homes selling for $30 - $50k+ over asking is simply not sustainable, which means we're headed towards a healthier real estate market. While there's no need to panic about a market crash, I am committed to ensuring my clients are properly prepared in this shifting market. If you've been thinking about buying, selling or investing in a home and feel unsure of what your best strategy is, let's start with a no-obligation conversation today.

Mastering Mindset for a Happier, Healthier Life
In real estate, we talk a lot about mindset - mindset with money, mindset with clients and mindset with ourselves. Over the next couple weeks, I encourage you to focus on the conversations you’re having with yourself. Are you comparing yourself to others? Does it seem like other people have something you don’t? Maybe it’s to be fit, have more friends or a better job. Or maybe you want more free time and money to go on vacations you’ve dreamed about. Whatever your situation, it’s important to remember that comparisons rob us of our contentment. Instead of thinking about all the things you don’t have or how great your life would be if only you could have/be/do ___________ (fill in the blank), I encourage you to start focusing on everything you do have. Start expressing gratitude for everything in your life and you will naturally attract more joy, happiness and harmony. I know because this practice has worked so well for me when I find myself in a comparison mindset. Test it out and see what a change in mindset and heart can do for you.
