How Low Inventory Is Likely To Affect You This Spring

How is it almost already March?! It feels like we were just dipping our toes into January 2022 a moment ago!

Growing up as a kid, everyone tells you how fast time flies, especially as you get older, but it’s hard to realize how true that statement is until you get older. As life gets busier, it seems like the days, weeks, and months start to blend together and that same fast pace of life definitely applies to the current real estate market.

Despite interest rates rising to 4%, it’s still a frenzy out there - even for those with an 800 credit score putting 20% down! We're still experiencing record low housing inventory and from our current trajectory, it looks like low inventory will continue to be an issue for years to come.

With that in mind, it’s obviously a wonderful time to sell your home - but it's also still a great time to buy since interest rates are historically low on average. If you’re looking to buy a home in the near future, it’s extremely important to work with an experienced, competent real estate team so you can navigate the many hoops you'll need to jump through.

Now more than ever, you’re likely to experience multiple offer competition on homes, so having a team who can strategize and negotiate with the best of them is key to getting the home you want for the best possible price.

We'd be honored and excited to be that team for you and your family. One of our top priorities this year is helping our clients win (even in this tough real estate climate) - and that means going above and beyond at every turn. As we like to say, not all realtors are created equal. 😉

Curious how we can help with your current situation? Let's chat! There's never any obligation and we're always here to act as your genuine advocates, not as salespeople.

An Early "Spring" Market Is Upon Us

Despite record low housing inventory and the overall craziness of the real estate market, we've had an incredibly busy start to 2022 and Quarter 1 of this year. We know we owe that honor to you, our wonderful clients! Typically, in a balanced real estate market, activity slows down a bit in the winter and picks up again in the spring, but the Portland metro area has not been seeing these expected seasonal changes and things are already in full swing. We thank you again for allowing us to serve you in this unprecedented time in our world and market!

A New Logo For a New Year

As we mentioned in January, we made the move to Keller Williams and we couldn’t be more excited! We're also working on rebranding our website and logo to reflect these changes, and are thrilled to announce the new logo design below!

Being Mindful & Creating "Me" Time

This month, we're focusing on being present and allowing moments of rest, and we want to invite you to join us. We hope you can carve out some time for yourself this month and really try to slow down whenever possible.

Life can get so hectic and it’s difficult to get out of “go-go-go” mode when there's so much to do, see, and accomplish. It seems like there’s never enough time in the day to get everything done, but just remember that it’s okay to feel that way and you're not alone.

As a team, we do our best to enjoy the little moments and take time to reflect daily. While it's hard for all of us to take that time to slow down, our well-being relies on those moments where we can take a step back and soak up the simple things in life. Appreciating what we have and being grateful can help bring us tremendous peace and we want that for ourselves and for you!

If you're the sharing type, we'd love to hear what you do in your daily life to make time for yourself - whether it's a specific place you go, a certain activity you do, or just a mindfulness practice you try to incorporate in your day-to-day. Hit reply and let us know!
